My husband and I live in Cleveland, Ohio in a charming 1928 Bungalow-Craftsman. With 6 kids, two dogs and full-time jobs, we’re just doing the best we can to turn our humble hive into a home we love.

Can we talk for a second about the real fear I have every single time we rip out a wall in our house? Most of our rooms are original plaster but the bathroom had (at some point) been redone...even still, I was terrified about what we would find. Turns out, this is what we found...yes, that’s styrofoam used for insulation.

Hubby took out the vanity yesterday and continued with chipping away at the tile to remove the mortar. It’s looking good. Now it’s a conversation about when to remove the toilet such that we can finish the work without having to go time without a functional bathroom...#bathroomrenovation #bathroomtile

Started ripping up the bathroom tile and found this GORGEOUS marble and light blue tile underneath. A few missing sections in a corner or two, but overall in great shape. Need to pivot our plan a bit cause I think I want to keep this tile! #bathroomtile #bathroomrenovation

Got this Fiddle Leaf when it was just a little guy and it’s growing so well in our sunroom. Watering once a week with good drainage and plenty of sunlight seems to be working perfectly! 🌱
