Master Bedroom

The walls were painted a minty-green color (even though they look somewhat white in this photo).  It wasn’t an awful color, it just didn’t work well with the wood trim.  The window treatment was a velvet, beige shade and the ceiling fan was clearly dated.

We painted the walls a “Mercer Blue” by Eddie Bauer from Lowes.  It’s a great denim blue color and it helps create such a relaxing space.  Despite the dark shade, it doesn’t make the room feel that much smaller…the bed, on the other hand, does.  The big guy already had a king size bed, so although it’s a little large for the space, I let him hold on to it 😉  We also painted the trim white and updated the ceiling fan and blinds.
